Music and Drama

At St. Patrick’s Hill Schools we believe that a well-rounded education results in children being able to make a myriad of connections and become multi-faceted adults with more interests and skills than children who are exposed to a limited number of subjects of study. We encourage our pupils to discover and develop their individual creative talents through art, music and drama. It has been said that “through engagement in the arts children learn to open their imaginations, to dream just a little bigger and to strive every day to reach those dreams.”

In music and drama a student learns to not only nurture their individuality but is encouraged to make dynamic and interesting choices, enhance creative play, embrace new ideas and experiences and to express oneself both confidently and articulately.

Our students are actively encouraged to discover and develop their talents in a variety of settings. There is nothing greater than seeing a shy student bloom on stage through music, dance or drama. The skills they acquire will live with them always, and will help them truly reach their full potential for a lifetime. Every child can benefit from some art, music and drama in their education for they give learning a special dynamic and makes learning exciting and entertaining.
